This topic will probably spring up again in the coming review, so let's discuss. People have debated whether or not Stephen gave the okay for Spongebob to get spinoffs. Some claim he did, others claim he did not. What do you think? Also, do you think there was a better way for Nick to handle these shows?

I'd say the argument for "he did not" was based on a platonic idea. He didn't see spin-offs being possible, he didn't say outright he didn't want any of those (and I feel that has been blown well out of the water, thanks a lot PIEGUYRULZ).
But at the end of the day, it's cynical, but it's just business, whatever the case it was out of Stephen's hands when the network got hold of it, Nickelodeon is gonna ride this cash cow till the end.
Although it would've been better to announce the spin-offs well after Stephen's passing, would've helped some.

Honestly. . . there's only 2 Spongebob spin-offs I'd REALLY wanna see:
1. A Prequel Series focusing on Sandy's Life in Texas prior to moving to Bikini Bottom in "Tea at the Treedome"; Especially if the ACTUAL Dirty Dan & Pinhead Larry are recurring antagonists
2. More of Krabs in his Navy Days; With All of his Navy Buddies in their Prime; with nods to BOTH "Pull up a Barrel" & "Shell of a Man"
